  1. Confirmation of booking: A booking will only be confirmed when payment has been received. If you have booked online you will receive a confirmation email. If you have booked by telephone or email your booking will be provisional. Your provisional booking request will be acknowledged by email and an invoice will be sent to you for the full payment amount.

  2. Payment: Full payment is due 30 days after the invoice is issued or 1 day before the course start date, whichever is the sooner. Your place is only confirmed once full payment has been received. A booking confirmation email will be emailed as soon as full payment is received.

  3. Course start date and induction: Once full payment has been received you will be sent an email containing a registration form for you to complete and return. On receipt of this we will set up a start date and send a link to the course induction on Moodle.

  4. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellations by the client can be made by phone call or by email to peritiatrainingltd@gmail.com

If the cancellation is made at least 28 days before the date of the course 90% of the fee will be refunded. Or the candidate can ask to transfer to an alternative course (subject to spaces being available, and at the discretion of Peritia Training), this will incur a £10 admin fee.

If the cancellation is made 27 – 15 days before the date of the course 40% of the fee will be refunded.  The candidate can ask to transfer to an alternative course (subject to spaces being available, and at the discretion of Peritia Training), this will incur a £10 admin fee.

If the cancellation is made within 14 days of the date of the course no refund will be made. No transfer will be offered.

Non-attendance for any reason: If you do not attend the course on the date that you booked you will not receive a refund and your place will not be transferred to another course date.

Failed candidate - Assessment criteria not met: All first aid courses are assessed. In order to gain the first aid qualification candidates must meet the required assessment criteria. Full and active participation on the course is required to create the necessary continual assessment opportunities.

If a candidate fails to meet the required assessment criteria they will not be awarded the qualification certificate. In all such cases the full course fee remains payable and no refund will be issued.

Failed candidate - Late arrival or insufficient contact time (e.g. leaving early):First Aid qualifications have a mandatory contact time requirement. Late arrivals will be turned away from the course and prolonged absences during the course or from any session or leaving the course early will mean that the candidate will not receive the qualification certificate for which they have joined the course.

In all such cases the full course fee remains payable and no refund will be issued.

Cancellation by Peritia Training: If Peritia Training has to cancel the course due to circumstances beyond our control we will reschedule the course at a time and date to suit the majority. Alternative courses will also be offered. If a replacement booking cannot be arranged then a full refund will be offered. Peritia Training reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course at any time.

  5. Special Needs: As part of your course induction you will be asked to identify any additional or specific needs you have which might affect the completion of the course. We may be able to offer guidance or support in order to enable you to get the most from the course.
Requests for reasonable assessment adjustments by individuals with specific needs will be taken by Peritia Training and submitted to the awarding organisation ITC First Ltd. Peritia Training must be notified of candidates with specific needs a minimum of 10 working days before the course start date. You must supply this information on your booking request form. For more information please read our Equality, Diversity and Access to Fair Assessment Policies. All policies and forms are available to download from centre policies.

  6. Age: The age at which a person can complete our courses varies according to the course specification. Please contact Peritia Training to check if a person is old enough to attend and complete the qualification. On face-to-face courses, if an attendee is under 18 years old they must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult. Or, following a discussion with Peritia Training, explicit consent must be given by a parent or guardian for them to attend alone.

  7. Visits and Observations: Some courses require an observation by your assessor. Peritia Training will try to do these through a face-to-face visit wherever possible and always in line with the current guidance from the Awarding Organisation. If it is not possible or practical to conduct the visit in person then a suitable alternative such as a video call can be organised.

  8. Certificates: All certificates are e-certificates unless a specific request is made for paper ones. The certificates are sent out by email as soon as possible after being received from the Awarding Organisation, providing the invoice for the course has been paid in full.
