This 8 hour course covers the content of Emergency First Aid at Work and applies this to an outdoor context. Suitable for teachers leading school trips or outdoor learning, Duke of Edinburgh leaders as well as runners and volunteers helping on outdoor events.
Content will include:
Safe best practice, related to outdoor environment
A systematic approach to incident management
Unconsciousness, causes and treatment
Managing contextualised scenarios
External bleeding, internal bleeding and shock
Resuscitation procedures including choking
Awareness of current regulations
